| Welcome to August! I hope you have all enjoyed the superb golfing conditions that we have enjoyed this season, especially July. The course is in the best condition that it has ever been; but as we have always said you can not have a Golf Course without water, as we quickly found out the last week of July. We were supposed to receive rain approximately 8 times in July which never happened, it rained all around us but never on us in any great amounts, with no rain and no irrigation our course dries up very quickly. The irrigation problem we had was a result of the original installation. We had to fix the problem properly resulting in specialty parts being made and shipped to Thunder Bay. I realize that members were confused as to why it took so long, 7 days, but the end result is it is done and working. We have installed the city water meter as of July 23, and we are now in the process of filling ponds and trying to calculate the amount of water in each pond more accurately as requested by the Min of Environment. August will be a very busy month with 5 Weddings, the FWCC Invitational, Loudon Bros and Investors Tournaments. Thank you to the members who are able to direct functions, tournaments and golf outings to the FWCC, any size and number of people is a great help to our financial viability.
