End of the 2011 Golf Season

One of the best Golf Seasons the FWCC has ever enjoyed has come to an end. 2011 has seen some very positive changes to our beautiful course with Greg Hollins our new superintendent coming on board in January and Darryl Moro, his assistant, in April. These operational changes are evident in the quality of play at the club making it the Number 1 Golf Course in the area according to the Chronicle Journal Readers Survey. As the weather begins to get cooler there are still a few die hards out there getting in their last rounds of the year. Greg and Darryl will have the greens winter covered by Nov 8, and the equipment will begin it’s long winter overhaul process to insure it is in top shape for the 2012 season. The 2012 Membership Drive has started and there seems to be a lot of interest from new members and past members about joining the Fort William Country Club. We welcome all past members and new members to experience the World Class Golf that we have enjoyed during the entire 2011 season and encourage all Intermediate Members (below 35 yrs of age) to contact the club regarding their 2012 membership. The Christmas season is just around the corner and we will be having the Christmas Brunch with Santa, which is open to everyone, on Dec 4 & 11 so call today 475 8925 ext 2 and Sherry will be happy to book your table for a fun brunch with Santa. Easter and Mother’s Day are the busiest Brunches of the year and you can never get your reservations in too early. These brunches are always fun because Jim will have his new equipment in the Pro Shop for you to inspect. Remember if your company is considering a dinner, meeting or tournament give Keli Foglia a call at the club 475 8925 ext 30 and she will be happy to explain the facility to you and what is available that could suit your needs.
